HISTORY & BOUNDARIES
East Dagon Township (also East Dagon Myothit) is located in the easternmost part of Yangon, Myanmar. The township comprises 28 wards and 3 village tracts. It shares borders with Hlegu Township in the north, North Dagon Township in the west, and South Dagon Township in the south and west. One of the new satellite towns founded in 1989 by the military government that came to power in 1988, East Dagon is still largely undeveloped and lacks basic municipal services. The township has 22 primary schools, three middle schools and five high schools.

The Ngamoyeik creek cuts through East Dagon Township. The Togyaunggalay Railway Station is a stop on the Yangon Circular Railway, and Myanmar Railways' Yangon-Bago line. Several bus lines connect East Dagon to downtown and other parts of the city.
ဒဂုံၿမိဳ႕သစ္(အေရွ႕ပုိင္း)ၿမိဳ႕နယ္ သည္ ၁၉၉၄ ခုႏွစ္ ၾသဂုတ္လတြင္ ဒဂုံၿမိဳ႕သစ္(ေျမာက္ပုိင္း)ၿမိဳ႕နယ္မွ ခြဲထြက္၍ ၿမိဳ႕နယ္တစ္ခုအျဖစ္ စတင္ရပ္တည္ခဲ့သည္။ အက်ယ္အဝန္းမွာ ၃၅ ဒသမ ၁၅ စတုရန္းမုိင္ ျဖစ္သည္။ လွည္ကူးၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ ဒဂုံၿမိဳ႕သစ္(ေျမာက္ပုိင္း)ၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ ေျမာက္ဥကၠလာပၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ ဒဂုံၿမိဳ႕သစ္(ေတာင္ပုိင္း)ၿမိဳ႕နယ္တုိ႔ ပတ္ပတ္လည္တြင္ ဝန္းရံထားသည္။ ၿမိဳ႕နယ္အတြင္း ေတာင္မွ ေျမာက္သုိ႔ ငမုိးရိပ္ေခ်ာင္း ျဖတ္သန္းစီးဆင္းလ်က္ရွိရာ ဒီေရအတက္အက်ေၾကာင့္ ေရနက္ကြင္းမ်ား တခါတရံ၌ ေရလႊမ္းမုိးျခင္း ခံရသည္။ ငမုိးရိပ္ေခ်ာင္းေဘးရွိ ရပ္ကြက္မ်ားသည္ မုတ္သုန္ရာသီတြင္ ေရႀကီးျခင္း၊ ေလျပင္းတုိက္ျခင္းမ်ား ႀကံဳရေလ့ရွိသည္။
ဒဂုံၿမိဳ႕သစ္(အေရွ႕ပုိင္း)ၿမိဳ႕နယ္ကုိ ရပ္ကြက္ေပါင္း (၆၃)ခု၊ ေက်းရြာအုပ္စု (၃)ခုတုိ႔ျဖင့္ ဖြဲ႕စည္းထားသည္။ အေထြေထြအုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ေရးဦးစီးဌာနမွ စာရင္းမ်ားအရ ၂၀၁၇ ခုႏွစ္ မတ္လကုန္တြင္ လူေနအိမ္ေျခ (၂၈ ၇၄၀)ခု ရွိၿပီး အိမ္ေထာင္စု (၃၂ ၂၃၃)စု ရွိသည္။ လူဦးေရမွာ (၁၅၆ ၃၃၆)ဦး ျဖစ္သည္။
Business Collection Group (BCG) ၏ အခ်က္အလက္မ်ားအရ စီးပြားေရးလုပ္ငန္း (၂ ၄၀၀)ေက်ာ္ရွိၿပီး လုပ္သားအင္အားစု (၃၆ ၅၀၀)ဦး လုပ္ကုိင္လ်က္ရွိသည္။ ၿမိဳ႕နယ္အတြင္းမွာ ေနထိုင္ၾကသူတုိ႔သည္ အစုိးရဌာနမ်ား၊ ဝန္ေဆာင္မႈလုပ္ငန္းမ်ား၊ စက္ရုံမ်ားတြင္ အမ်ားဆုံး လုပ္ကုိင္ၾကသည္။ စက္မႈဇုန္မ်ားမွ လူသုံးကုန္ပစၥည္းမ်ား၊ စားေသာက္ကုန္မ်ား၊ ခ်ဳပ္ထည္အဝတ္အစားမ်ားကုိ အဓိကအားျဖင့္ ထုတ္လုပ္တင္ပုိ႔သည္။ လမ္းပန္းဆက္သြယ္ေရးအေနျဖင့္ အမွတ္(၂)အေဝးေျပး လမ္းမႀကီးေဘးတြင္ တည္ရွိသည္။
ထင္ရွားသည့္ ေစတီပုထုိးမ်ားမွာ ေလးကၽြန္းစႀကၤာ မဟာဆုေတာင္းျပည့္ေစတီႏွင့္ ဆယ္ေတာ္မူဘုရား တုိ႔ ျဖစ္သည္။
စုိက္ပ်ဳိးေရးက႑တြင္ ငမုိးရိပ္ေခ်ာင္းေရ အတြက္ ငမုိးရိပ္ ေရထိန္းတံခါး ရွိၿပီး ဧက တစ္ေသာင္းကုိ အက်ဳိးျပဳသည္။
စြမ္းအင္က႑တြင္ ပုဂၢလိကပုိင္ ဓာတ္ဆီဒီဇယ္ဆီအေရာင္းဆုိင္ တစ္ဆုိင္ရွိၿပီး KZH မွ လုပ္ကုိင္သည္။ အစိုးရပိုင္ ေမာ္ေတာ္ယာဥ္သံုး သဘာဝဓာတ္ေငြ႔ အေရာင္းဆိုင္ (၂)ဆိုင္ရွိသည္။
