HISTORY & BOUNDARIES
Seikkan Township is a township located in the western part of Yangon, Myanmar. One of the smallest townships, Seikkan consists of just three wards. It has a primary school and a hospital. Area 114.4 sq km – Density: 24/sq km, Total Population 2,826 people living in this township.
The Botahtaung Pagoda is a famous pagoda located in this township, Yangon, near the Yangon river. The pagoda was first built by the Mon around the same time as was Shwe Dagon Pagoda—according to local belief, over 2,500 years ago, and was known as Kyaik-De-Att in Mon language. The pagoda is hollow within and houses what is believed to be a sacred hair of Gautama Buddha. The king was drawn up as a guard of honour to welcome the landing in Myanmar of the relics of the Buddha brought over from India more than two thousand five hundred years ago. An account from ancient histories of the building of the Pagoda states that the Buddhist king Sihadipa gave one of his ministers a sacred hair from the Buddha's head and two body relics and this minister, renowned for his goodness and faith, consulted a famous religious leader and, on his advice, chose the Botahtaung Mount on the bank of Yangon River at a distance one thousand tars (7,000 cubits) in a South-Easterly direction from the Shwe Dagon Pagoda and there enshrined the sacred relics.

ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္သည္ ရန္ကုန္ျမစ္ကမ္းနဖူးတြင္ တည္ရွိၿပီး တခ်ိန္တခါက ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕ငယ္တစ္ခုျဖစ္ခဲ့ၿပီး ၁၉၇၂ ခုႏွစ္တြင္ ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္အျဖစ္ သတ္မွတ္ျပ႒ာန္းခဲ့သည္မွာ ယခုတုိင္ ျဖစ္သည္။ ျမန္မာ့ဆိပ္ကမ္းအာဏာပုိင္နယ္ေျမအတြင္းတြင္ တည္ရွိသည္။
ၿမိဳ႕နယ္၏ ေတာင္ဘက္တြင္ ရန္ကုန္ျမစ္တည္ရွိေနၿပီး က်န္ေနရာပတ္ပတ္လည္တြင္ ဗုိလ္တေထာင္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ အလုံၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ လသာၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ လမ္းမေတာ္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ ပန္းပဲတန္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္၊ ေက်ာက္တံတားၿမိဳ႕နယ္တုိ႔ ဝန္းရံထားသည္။
အက်ယ္အဝန္းမွာ ၄၄ ဒသမ ၁၆ စတုရန္းမုိင္ျဖစ္ၿပီး ဧရိယာထက္ဝက္ဝန္းက်င္သည္ ရန္ကုန္ျမစ္အတြင္း က်ေရာက္ေနေပရာ ေရတစ္ပုိင္းကုန္းတစ္ပုိင္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္ ျဖစ္သည္။ ေျမဧရိယာအမ်ားစုသည္ ဆိပ္ကမ္းအျဖစ္ အသုံးျပဳထားၿပီး သုိေလွာင္ေထာက္ပုိ႔အတြက္ အသုံးျပဳထားျခင္းမ်ားလည္း ရွိသည္။ သုိ႔ျဖစ္ရာ လူေနအိမ္ေျခ နည္းပါးသည့္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္ ျဖစ္သည္။ ၂၀၁၇ ခုႏွစ္ မတ္လကုန္တြင္ လူေနအိမ္ေျခ (၄၈)ခု ရွိၿပီး အိမ္ေထာင္စု (၃၃၃)စု ေနထုိင္လ်က္ရွိသည္။ လူဦးေရမွာ (၁ ၅၄၆)ဦး ျဖစ္သည္။ ရပ္ကြက္ (၃)ခု ျဖင့္ ဖြဲ႕စည္းထားသည္။ ရဲရိပ္သာရပ္ကြက္၊ ေမာ္တင္ရပ္ကြက္ ႏွင့္ မိသားစုရပ္ကြက္ တုိ႔ ျဖစ္သည္။
ထင္ရွားသည့္ သမုိင္းဝင္ ေစတီမွာ ဗိုလ္တေထာင္ေစတီေတာ္ျဖစ္သည္။ အုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ေရးဆုိင္ရာ နယ္ေျမပုိင္းျခား သတ္မွတ္ခ်က္အရ ဗုိလ္တေထာင္ က်ဳိက္ေဒးအပ္ ေစတီသည္ ဗုိလ္တေထာင္ၿမိဳ႕နယ္တြင္ မပါဝင္ဘဲ ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္တြင္ ပါဝင္သည္။
ရန္ကုန္ျမစ္သည္ ေျမာက္မွ ေတာင္သုိ႔ စီးဆင္းေနသည္။ ပင္လယ္ဝမွတဆင့္ ဝင္ေရာက္လာၾကသည့္ အျပည္ျပည္ဆုိင္ရာ ပင္လယ္ကူးသေဘၤာမ်ား၊ ကမ္း႐ုိးတန္းသေဘၤာမ်ား ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္ရွိ ဆိပ္ကမ္းမ်ားတြင္ ဆုိက္ကပ္ၾကသည္။ တုိင္းျပည္၏ အခရာက်ေသာ ဆိပ္ကမ္း ျဖစ္သည့္အားေလ်ာ္စြာ ျပည္ပသြင္းကုန္ပုိ႔ကုန္မ်ားအတြက္ ေရေၾကာင္းတံခါးေပါက္ ျဖစ္သည့္အျပင္ ကမ္း႐ုိးတန္းရွိေသာ ျပည္နယ္ႏွင့္ တုိင္းေဒသႀကီးမ်ားျဖစ္သည့္ ရခုိင္ျပည္နယ္၊ တနသၤာရီတုိင္းေဒသႀကီး၊ မြန္ျပည္နယ္တုိ႔အတြက္လည္း ေရေၾကာင္းတံခါးေပါက္တစ္ခု ျဖစ္သည္။ ထုိ႔အျပင္ ေရလမ္းခရီးျဖင့္ ကုန္စည္သယ္ယူမႈ အဓိကအားျပဳေသာ ဧရာဝတီတုိင္းေဒသႀကီးႏွင့္တကြ ျမစ္ဝကၽြန္းေပၚသြား သေဘၤာမ်ားလည္း ကူးလူးသြားလာၾကသည္။
ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္ အတြင္းရွိ No.(1) Inland Container Depot သည္ ကုန္ေသတၱာအမ်ဳိးမ်ဳိး (၄ ၃၈၇)TEU ထားသုိႏုိင္ၿပီး ဧရိယာအက်ယ္ ၁၀ ဧကနီးပါး ရွိသည္။ ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္အတြင္းရွိ ဗုိလ္ေအာင္ေက်ာ္ဆိပ္ခံသည္ အလ်ား ေပ(၆၀၀) ရွိၿပီး ျပည္ပကုန္သြယ္ေရးက႑မွ သေဘၤာမ်ား ဆုိက္ကပ္အသုံးျပဳသည္။
ျမစ္အတြင္း ဗုိလ္တေထာင္-အင္းစိန္ ပုံမွန္ေျပးဆြဲေပးေနသည့္ Yangon Water Bus သည္ ေန႔ထူးေန႔ျမတ္ ရုံးပိတ္ရက္မ်ားတြင္ ဗုိလ္တေထာင္ဆိပ္ကမ္းမွ Sun Set အထူးခရီးစဥ္မ်ား ေျပးဆြဲေပးသည္။ စေန၊ တနဂၤေႏြ weekend ခရီးစဥ္အျဖစ္ တြံေတးသုိ႔ ေလ့လာေရးခရီးစဥ္ ေျပးဆြဲေပးသည္။ ဗုိလ္တေထာင္ဆိပ္ကမ္းမွ နံနက္ပုိင္းတြင္ ထြက္ခြာၿပီး မြန္းလြဲ ၃ နာရီဝန္းက်င္တြင္ ျပန္လည္ေရာက္ရွိသည့္ ခရီးစဥ္ျဖစ္သည္။
ရန္ကုန္ျမစ္ တဘက္ကမ္းသုိ႔ ကူးရန္ ကူးတုိ႔ဆိပ္ႏွစ္ခု ရွိသည္။ ၎တုိ႔မွာ နန္းသီတာ ကူးတုိ႔ဆိပ္ႏွင့္ ပန္းဆုိးတန္း ကူးတုိ႔ဆိပ္တုိ႔ျဖစ္သည္။
အစုိးရပညာေရးက႑အေနျဖင့္ ဆိပ္ကမ္းၿမိဳ႕နယ္တြင္ ေက်ာင္းဖြင့္လွစ္ထားျခင္း မရွိေပ။ ဘုန္းေတာ္ႀကီးသင္ ပညာေရးေက်ာင္း တစ္ခု ရွိၿပီး ပုညသုခေက်ာင္း တြင္ ဖြင့္လွစ္ထားျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။
ဟုိတယ္က႑တြင္ ပုဂၢလိကပုိင္အျဖစ္ လုပ္ကုိင္သည့္ အခန္းေပါင္း (၁၀၄)ခန္းပါ ေရေပၚဟုိတယ္တစ္ခု ရွိသည္။ ဆန္ အႀကီးအက်ယ္ လက္ကားေရာင္းဝယ္ေဖာက္ကားသည့္ ကုန္စည္ဒုိင္တစ္ခု ေမာ္တင္တြင္ တည္ရွိေသာ ဖက္စပ္(၂) အေဆာက္အဦတြင္ တည္ရွိသည္။
စြမ္းအင္က႑တြင္ ပုဂၢလိကပုိင္ ဓာတ္ဆီ၊ ဒီဇယ္ဆီအေရာင္းဆုိင္အေနျဖင့္ Regency မွ ဖြင့္လွစ္ေရာင္းခ်သည့္ အေရာင္းဆုိင္ တစ္ဆုိင္ ရွိသည္။
